Edward Lau

Board Member

Edward, is the Chief Executive | Director of Pointline Enterprise Private Limited; a strategic consulting firm that specialise in aviation, transportations, supply-chain, e-commerce fulfilment, joint-venture establishments, and M & A organisation integration.

Before Mr. Lau’s returning to Singapore, he was the President, Asia of Landmark Global – a wholly owned subsidiary of bpost (Belgian Post Group - EPA:Bpost.SA). The Company provides customised solutions to enable their customers to establish international expansions of their cross-border e-commerce business. Moreover, Mr. Lau was the Chief Executive Officer of Jetstar Hong Kong Airways, a start-up Low-Cost-Carrier in the territory.

As a veteran in management with over three decades of experience, he brings extensive global-MNC senior leadership experience from his diverse cross-cultural management background.

Prior to joining Jetstar Hong Kong, Edward spent over ten years at TNT Express Worldwide where he held a number of senior positions, most recently Managing Director Hong Kong, where he was responsible for managing TNT Express’ Hong Kong business and its North Asia multimodal-hub and expanding its cross-border operations. He also held the executive positions of Regional Director, Global Account Management, Asia Pacific and Managing Director, Singapore for TNT Express where he established the state-of-art pharmaceutical & med-tech regional distribution center that managed ISO / GMP / GDP accredited processing and fulfilment services across Asia Pacific and trans-continental consignments.

Mr. Lau also held senior roles with the Hay Group (now Korn Ferry – NYSE:KFY), Rosenbluth International (now American Express Company – NYSE:AXP) and was a core member of the team that established Federal Express (NYSE:FDX) in Hong Kong since the 1980’s.

Edward was born in Hong Kong. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Business Communications from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and a
Postgraduate Award in Management and Business Studies from University of Warwick, UK (WBS). Edward has been elected the Chartered Fellow qualification at the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT); a Board Director at the CILT-Singapore and recently appointed the Global Advisor to the Women in Logistics & Transport (WiLAT). On the personal level, Edward is a guest lecturer at the: Nanyang Technological University – School of Civil & Environmental Engineering since 2021, and in 2023 appointed as an Associate Faculty at the Singapore University of Social Sciences – School of Business; previous lecturing’s involved : the Shanghai University – MBA Centre, and the CUHK – One MBA program. Moreover, Mr. Lau was a certified global trainer at the FedEx Express sales leadership institute, Memphis, TN and an executive-leadership trainer of the Hay Group Management Consulting. Edward contributed to the Corporate Mentorship Programs of the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (HKUST), and at the CUHK. Mr. Lau also sat on the Tak Shun Secondary School, Hong Kong’s governance board. In 2019, the IESE Business School appointed Edward as their non-executive director in SE Asia.
