When Bad Things Came Your Way In 2015

Somebody once told me: “Cheer up, things could be worse.” So I cheered up and, sure enough, things got worse.

The end of the year is approaching. Are you grateful for all the things that came your way in 2015?

We usually count as our blessings the good things that happened to us.  When ‘bad things’ happen to us, we try to evade them or get out of that situation quickly, and we certainly don’t count these things as blessings.

But what if everything went well for us all the time?

Perhaps we would become complacent, proud, and unable to empathise with others.  We may become bored with life and we would probably stop growing as a person.

Are you peaceful in the difficulties you face in your family relationships? Do you respond to the challenges as opportunities for growth?
