Monica De Silva
President
Monica has 25 years of experience in education management with both local and multinational organisations including a school she co-founded. Prior to that she had years of experience in banking and human resource management and running a home-based enterprise focussed on faith-based family education resources.
Her passion is working with families beginning with her own – Monica is married to Mark for 36 years and counting. They are the happy parents of seven children who are now between the ages of 17 and 34. Their youngest, Marie, was born with Down syndrome and severe hearing loss.Â
Monica is the Past Chair of the Down Syndrome Association (DSA) and is the current President of the Family Enrichment Society (FES) and served on the board of the Roman Catholic Archdiocesan Commission for the Family (ACF) with Mark.Â
She founded and directs Rosebrook Developmental Centre, set up in 2014 as a realisation to the great need for fully inclusive and fully integrated development of children through to adulthood. A calling inspired through God’s gift of Marie.
