Responsibilities and learning opporunities:

• Marketing & Social Media

  • Ideating, and producing creative-communication assets, including photos, videos, designs, and articles, to create compelling content that aligns and strengthens our organization's mission and identity.

  • Organizing the organization’s library of content and assets.

  • Responding and engaging with social media followers, subscribers and members of the public.

 

• Events & Engagement

  • Help plan, organize, and execute events

  • Coordinate with internal and external teams including volunteers, vendors, sponsors, presenters and stakeholders.

  • Manage budgets and negotiate contracts effectively to ensure cost-efficiency.

  • Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and checklists.

  • Assist in event logistics, including venue arrangements, catering, and transportation.

  • Conduct post-event evaluations to determine success and areas for improvement.

  • Ideate creative event concepts and themes to engage attendees.

Requirements:

​

• Passion and belief in our mission of building loving and lasting families.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Working towards a diploma / degree in communications, events, creative media production or equivalent.

​

Some skills / capabilities that would be helpful:

​

• Knowledge in managing social media channels & web platforms (e.g. WordPress / Wix).

• Knowledge in photography, videography, video editing, and design.

• Knowledge in Canva, Cap Cut, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, etc.) and other relevant software.

• Strong attention to detail and desire to work collaboratively with a team.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines .

• Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Comfortable in pathfinding solutions in situations where no formal structure exists.

• Curiosity and hunger for learning.
